Communication Breakdown

I tell her that I love her madly

she says do you think these two match

she tells me she is feeling badly

we keep playing this game sniff and scratch

one goes this way the other that way

we never seem to be on the same path

it's not hard to understand why we argue each day

I'm in the shower while she's taking a bath

I like it hot while she likes it cold

she likes it salty while I prefer sweet

over and over it's getting kind of old

I say the dog smells she says it's my feet

she hides in the background preferring the dark

I'm on the stage yelling out loud

I want to take her for a walk in the park

she says no thanks I don't like the crowd

I ask her to stay and visit a while

she disappears on a shopping trip

my lonely heart cannot conjure a smile

think she's tired of me oops a Freudian slip

on and on and around we jostle

one so serious the other a clown

feeling the kiss of Judas the apostle

Some woman like to be different. These are the woman we need great distance from. I like the many situations in the poem. Woman control the open and closed doors. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.

Im guessing it is a communication breakdown, maybe it is not as though you think or as it seems. Or maybe its a breakdown of the heart? hmmm
This was a kind of emotional poem. Kinda sad. As always love the rhyming and flow. I think you being the writer/musician/song writer you are you always seem to know and have the right flow. Just right. However it is its awesome and so are you
