Silent Night

Silent Night

A Poem by Gomer LePoet
"

Its a lovers question

"

Silent Night

we threw rocks

we tossed stones

our hearts were bruised

but no broken bones

we fight hard

and love the same

we can't get along

and that's a dam shame

I love her eyes

she hates my shadow

I'm not really following

just going where she goes

is trust an issue

I don't think so

but with the way things are

how would we know

think it's more fear

over my lack of skill

of keeping her attention

I need her thrill

so another day gone by

turn on my light

we haven't spoken

another Silent Night

sent her a message

said I miss her bad

she acknowledges the thought

think I'm going mad

will we kiss and makeup

it gets harder each time

she wants to go

two heartaches end this rhyme

This brings several questions to my mind.
