never give up hope

Reaching

seeking out planets and stars

Saturn Venus and Mars

filling my mind

I'm always reaching

trying to become a bigger man

working on a brand new plan

sending my love

I can't stop reaching

the world is a crazy place

getting harder to stay the pace

but it's in our souls

to keep on reaching

sometimes you wonder

if maybe it is time to quit

just sit back and let it all go by

but it shakes you like thunder

puts you in a raging fit

something keeps you wondering why

what can I do to make things right

helping others who have fallen

lending your heart

and keep on reaching

politicians and preachers too

their lies and constant greed

breaking our hearts

we have to keep reaching
