Excuse Me

Excuse Me

A Poem by Gomer LePoet
"

how can caring so much get all twisted the wrong way

"

Excuse Me

Excuse me for loving you

I didn't know I would be your burden

Excuse me for caring so much

I waited for you behind the curtain

you often ran and hid for days

I got lonely my heart shed tears

Excuse me and my ways

for reaching out showing my fears

Excuse me for wanting you more

I had to do something to get your attention

being quiet was getting me no where

for my own insanity prevention

I never asked for more than your love

I never wanted more than your heart

why did you find that to be too much

Excuse me guess I wasn't too smart

Oh this one has power behind it. I think we all tend to linger longer than we should when love is involved. Well done Mr. LePoet.

Ouch dude. This is sort of sounding like closing the barn door a little late.
