A Journey of Understanding

I was born with dreams, a life so bright,
Normal beginnings, the world felt right.
But as I grew, the shadows crept in,
With illness and struggles that begin.

Emphysema whispered with each breath I take,
Frozen shoulder aches, my body’s own quake.
Anxiety tightened like a heavy chain,
Panic attacks pulled me into the rain.

Yet in this fight, I pause and see,
Those who’ve faced challenges, longer than me.
Born with burdens I’ve yet to know,
Their strength inspires me, helping me grow.

How do they manage, with grace so profound?
Living with pain that’s always around.
Do they sense the weight of what’s been given,
Or find joy in moments, in simply living?

I strive not to complain, for they show the way,
With courage and heart, they seize each day.
Their battles are fierce, their spirits so bright,
A testament to hope, a guiding light.

To those who care, my deepest respect,
You lift up the fallen, you help us connect.
In this shared journey, we find our own song,
With love as our armor, together we’re strong.

So I carry their stories, their strength in my heart,
In every new challenge, they play a part.
For in this life’s canvas, where colors blend true,
I honor their struggle, and rise with them too.

I hope to foster understanding and inspire others to find strength in their struggles, as we all navigate our own paths with grace and perseverance.
