Broken Reminiscence

Broken Reminiscence

A Poem by Webster

Beat myself down, decisions made
Leech all the blood, as my life was laid.
These events that occur, make memories feel blue
Why misfortune must follow when all is through.

Gasping for air, the bruises and the scratches
The pain it all brings, pulls me down and latches
Forgetting is not easy, letting go leaves me empty
Recollect those memories, the blade goes right through me.

There's more to the sorrow, not just heartbreak and pain,
Where are those memories, of love and no disdain
I am here today, coz' I walked a path I chose
Why define my life's measures, with just that whilted rose.

I must remember, mistakes and regrets are memories made
Who would have thought how bittersweet, life fades.
Who I once was is not who I am, a whilted flower maybe
I am now from what once was, as the fruit that rots is one that grows into a tree.

About
Do I write to fill a void deep inside, where others can never reach to fill. Only pure emotions flow through my words. I hope I reach out to others who feel the same as in words I write and emotions I.. more..
