When love arrivesA Poem by Webster
To have loved like never before,
Such a notion; soft and strange, Like moonlight learning how to breathe Inside a heart that feared its change. It comes not knocking, not announced, No warning bell, no guiding sign, It slips in through forgotten cracks And makes your broken edges shine. When love comes forth, you realize The weight of every silent tear, The prayers you whispered to the dark Were only teaching you to fear. It teaches hands to hold with faith, And eyes to see beyond the skin, It turns your doubts to fragile stars And lets new galaxies begin. To love like this is not to fall, But rise through storms you never knew, To find yourself in someone else And still come back more fully you. For love is not a fleeting flame That fades when shadows interfere, It is the truth your soul remembers When everything becomes sincere. So let it come in quiet ways, Unscripted, wild, and undefined, For love is not the end of you, It is the becoming of your kind. © 2026 WebsterReviews
