Down...

Down...

Deep into my depression--

It's where I belong!

In a dark abyss

 

Leading me down an unlit path

A path with the Devil waiting

With arms wide open

Beckoning for a bargain

My soul for happiness

 

Happiness...

 

What would I give to feel it?

To feel anything at all

I take his hand

He pulls me in

I'm trapped

Stuck dancing the tango

For all eternity

 

I'm spiraling

How aptly this captures the essence of depression. And the final stroke: "It's where I belong!", i.e., the acceptance of depression. No, more than that, the near welcoming of depression.
