SometimesA Poem by Shandra SunLife is a paradox.Sometimes Sometimes I see the ugliness around me, but I choose to look away to the beauty behind it. Occasionally I hear the dark thoughts in my head, but I choose to watch them for what they are: passing clouds in the sky of my mind, not making me sad. Once in a while I feel the tears in my throat, arising to my eyes, but I choose to allow them to flow quietly, knowing that they are just washing trapped pain away, cleansing the lies. Now and then I'm painfully aware of my imperfections, but I choose to be thankful for the inner wisdom of my physical body. There are days when I taste the bitterness of my emotions, but I choose to express them without taking them too seriously. Because I know who I am, it's easy to be friendly to the twoo dimensions of my existence and honor them both: the earthly tabernacle that enables me to feel the beauty in this convoluted world, and the inner divine spark, connecting My Self with my infinite heritage. And my heart sings: I am an expression of life, a child of The Creator of All Things.
