I've read a few of yours now this is my favorite so far clever little write I love the flow!

The punctuation of the 6th and 8th line are perfect making the reader soften the tone almost to a whisper and the rhyming is spot on well done :)

Love the short lines. The description strong. I think we all face the horrible undertone writers block now and again.
