Let Me Explain

I take care of me, 

so I won’t need you

and it will take me a while

to even say I want you.

I won’t let myself be that person

that relies on someone else

because that has never really

worked out for me.

At the end of the day,

I’m all I’ve got,

and that’s enough for me

if that’s all I’ll 

ever have.
