Jaded Veil

Written 1/15/15 This was inspired by the night that I was saved and became a Christian.

Broken
Beaten
Empty
Defeated
A lifeless shell
Lost in the darkness
My heart
And soul
Soiled
With wonders
And regrets I call out
To you
Come save me!
And make me new
The light
Comes upon me
In the morning
No longer covered
By that jaded veil
I see everything
Differently through you

I wholeheartedly hope that the rays of sun and your beliefs will never let the cloak of depression seep in again. I know first hand how debilitating it can be. I wait with anticipation for the day that my battle with depression is conquered.

Thank you! I have accepted that it's possible my depression could come back in the future but I'm not worried about it. I have God in my life now, and I know no matter what I'll get through it.
