Darkness

A short older poem I wrote.

Look around you                   Nothing’s there

 Listen closely                           You will hear

 Screams around you              Darkness hides

All the voices                            From outside

You can’t see them            They aren't there

       But you can hear them everywhere

They fill your mind                They fill the air

You can feel it                      When they stare

          Nothing works if nothings right

You’ll always fall                  If you don’t fight
