Meadow

A petite poem describing a meadow scene.

The grass, beautifully green,

The sky, turquoise-blue and clean,

The sunflowers, golden and bright,

The sun, shining with all its might.

The roses, elegant and poised,

The birds, chirping a wonderful noise,

The trees, towering above all,

The insects, ever so small.

The rivers, flowing swiftly,

The creatures, always so shifty,

The mud, slick and smooth,

The mushrooms, my hunger will soothe.

Here I lay,

On this gorgeous day,

Daydreaming and fantasizing so.

The marvelous array,

Oh, how I wish I could stay,

But sadly, I must go.
