From Me To You

A kinda Emo-poem i wrote for my friend Tyler...yeah, it's really dramatic.

Seconds tick away the day…
Inch by inch…you fade away

Tell me now and tell me true…

What happened to the you I knew?

Was it her, or was it me?

I never meant to make you leave…

Your silence haunts my thoughts each day…

Side ways glances…but you move away…

Your smile has faded…

The light is gone…

Was it me you hated?

I did you wrong…

Things I can’t repair…

All I do is stare…

Quiet and alone…

As you walk towards home…

Your laughter echoes in my mind…

I search your eyes…but I can never find

The sparkle that used to linger there…

I wish I could touch you, to smooth your hair…

To tell you I’d always be by your side…

But this is just a rollercoaster ride…

We don’t talk anymore…

There’s no knock on the door…

Cries fall upon deaf ears…

No one there to calm the fears…

Tell me now and tell me true…

Will you be the you I knew?
