Tension Below the Heart: How to Let Go

Tension Below the Heart: How to Let Go

A Poem by Grumpie
"

Lost at sea, will someone help me?

"

I can’t, I won’t, I don’t know how.

The ship’s strong mast now rubs the bow.

Through the great storm it fell in half,

Leaving drift wood off the aft.

I can’t, I won’t, I just don’t know,

How to let the fear of you go.

In love is I, in love is he,

All our life should be easy.

I don’t, I won’t, I just can’t stop,

The feeling deep inside to top

The sticky pain of love before,

Telling me to run from more.

Mistakes I’ve made, in twos and threes,

How can I save my soul from these

Waves of grief as they consume me?

The ship’s torn to pieces, in twos and threes.

How do I keep a float on these high seas,

Without the sails to catch the wind for me?

No other choice but to do the hard work,

I dip the paddle into the water,

Over and over to move me forward.

One day to see land as promised to me.

Today to feel lost at sea,

Yesterday I could not breathe,

Tomorrow to feel at ease.

Grumpie
Letting go of old worn strings is NOT easy. I thought it was, I thought I was in practice, then stability is threatened by imagination. It runs away with any opening, even if it turns out to be a good thing!

Hiiii Grumpiii!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Wooowww! This poem tugged at my heart strings. Its never easy to move on from a love filled relationship. But the good thing is your not the only one going through the pains of lost love. Thats what makes the writers cafe such a powerful outlet for those that are hurting. You're hurting, I understand and am going through the same. Nothing more inspiring then words to a page that relate to the masses.

Thanks for sharing
