PrologueA Chapter by BrookeI know its short - but, please, bear with me. I can never write really long prolugues. -.- Prologue I was only a little girl when it happened. Many of the memories from that day are clouded over, nearly impossible to access. Whenever I try to catch only a glimpse of it, it’s only a few seconds before the sound of my mother’s shrill screams and my father’s yell to ‘get Eldora out’ fill my head, before they’re both sharply cut short with a sick snapping sound and a growl. But, the most potent memory of them all, the most horrible, morbid memory, is the both of seeing both my parents laying motionless son the floor, before a huge, pitch-black creature savagely tore them apart and lunged for me. © 2010 BrookeAuthor's Note
