Rose of Summers' Day

I am a rose

of summers' day--

look at me

you may.

My scarlet dye

of sultry fire

fills the calmest men

with ire!

Indeed

you can relish

in the scent I bring

upon the air--

yet lay a hand--

for good

or bad

do not even dare.
