Where I Am From

Love this English assignment:)

I am from mud pies,

  from playing outside all day and always having my sister there.

I am from private school days and 80% passing marks.

I am from sledding, swimming, and trips to the park.

 

I am from family gatherings,

  from grandmas, grandpas and lots of cousins.

I am from homemade chicken noodle soup and "shablen" and tortillas.

I am from Dutch Blitz and Chinese Checkers.

 

I am from Sunday morning church services,

  from school programs, "Altenfests" and "Mennonite dating night".

I am from family fights and working it out,

  from hugs and apologies.

I am from family love.

Lots of cousins is an understatement:P shablen, possibly the first time I've seen it in writing:P And we aaaall (the mennonites that is) KNOOW what the other name for Mennonite Dating Night is;))) lol perfect:D
