Grey

Grey

A Poem by Zombified Spider

Drab grey cloth
It blankets everything
Leeching the color from the world

It covers the sky
Pulling the yellow
From the daisies by my house

Skin tone disappears
I watch your eyes turn grey
Thoughtless and blank

But worse
Are the hands that stitch
Such endless grey

They stitch the never ending grey blanket
With never changing grey thread
Turning color into something monotonous

Stitch
After stitch
After stitch

But worse
When I look in the mirror
I too, am grey

This - to me - sounds like depression and the results it brings to everyday life. It drains color and reflects in ones self.
