Can you all think back
The 11th Of September
It was such a sad day
that we’ll all remember,

 

People were driving
and some walking by
who had no idea
that some would soon die,

 

Laughing and joking
as they walked along
then they heard a noise
that sounded so strong,

 

As they all looked up
They all saw the planes
nothing for anyone
will ever be the same,

 

Then the two tall buildings
were beginning to fall
as the force of the planes
hit the windows and all,

 

And all of those people
on that day had gone
will not be forgotten
remembering each one

Very well-written and moving. Like nearly everyone else, I clearly remember watching the towers crumble on TV. I write and enjoy rhymed and metered poems like this. One of your rhymes (same,planes) is an atonal rhyme that is absolutely acceptable in the world of poetry, although I like to avoid them. I am glad to see by your bio that I am not the only one here of our generation. I'm looking forward to more of your fine poems.
