Self Portrait
A Poem by Travis Gibson (poetic heroics)
For WC... my first piece composed entirely on WC.
Dark, coiled locks cascade down passing broad shoulders; framing a chocolate brown face with high cheek bones, and a slender button nose. Full lips that love to kiss dreams and high hopes. The strongest feature are those eyes, strangely, they hold within them strength and weariness. They've seen too much, but still they refuse to shut. They paint such a tragically, beautiful portrait... that I am glad to call my own.

You have painted a self-portrait that suggests your inner self by the things you say about your physical characteristics. That is not easily done and you did it very well. Your inner strength in the face of pain and tragedy shines through along with your readiness to love. Excellent poetry!
