A Sword is a Defensive Weapon

You use weapons when you're being attacked. Who would attack you?

A sword is a defensive weapon.

You use weapons when you’re being attacked.

They attack when they think they’ll be hurt.

And of course they think that; you’re holding a sword.

 

Attack and defense are similar;

Death is the optimal result.

Killing is the ultimate attack and the primal defense.

Dying is the ultimate defense.

 

Both end in blackness;

Black as the anvil that made your sword.

Maybe your blackness will be an anvil

For someone else’s sword.

 

Maybe it’ll be mine.
