Searching for Me Treasure

Searching for Me Treasure

A Poem by Hank Writes

I found a treasure, known only to me

Many are close, yet no one can see

Oh, it’s a chest full of riches

All of my hopes, dreams and wishes

Travelled the world, got nothing but old

Oceans and places, but only fool’s gold

This is what I wanted, always in my head

The search is now over; I’ll retrieve it instead

Do I have the means to dig this deep?

Past the crust and the layers; where you hide and you sleep

Tis not money or diamonds or a big, giant gem

I would waste no time looking for them

It has always been you and your love I longed to find

Your unknown beauty and grace have consumed my mind

It is now time; I will reap what I sow

And now it is time for the world to know…

From this day forward, we’ll never again be apart,

Once I follow this path, where X marks your heart
