CemeteryA Poem by Hanna01The moon, oh so silver, is the only one who dares To glance onto the lonesome graveyard Or maybe he is simply the only one who cares
Black earth and dead flowers all over holy ground Dark shadows are thrown by mighty gravestones Betrayed were the poor souls, forever bound
Darkness, heavy and black, lays in the air The cry of a nightingale seeps through the night An occurrence these times not so rare
Gray and unforgiving stand the names, Some old, some new, all left and forgotten Burnt into the stones like ashes by flames
A stone, cold and white, has broken in two The name long forgotten Who is going to remember you? © 2019 Hanna01Author's Note
