Grateful

A Christian poem... ♥

When the world turned its back on me,

You were there and You showed me mercy

You came to me and reached out Your hand

You helped me up when I couldn’t stand

 

I’ll never forget what You have done

You carried a cross that weighed a ton

To cleanse the hearts of those like me

Who, to be called Your children, are not worthy

 

You shed Your blood for sinners like me

For that I am grateful, I will forever be.

And I will never cease to give You praise

Until the day I see Your face
