The Window

The Window

A Poem by Hannah
"

Just some thoughts.

"
Through the window
the hustle and bustle appeals
to my overflowing mind and mouth
dripping with words
but do I dare leap in?
Dare I expose
                      my eccentricities?
Do I want them all to know
That I am in fact really myself?
Should I ignore my hunger to live, all to nurture my fear of rejection?
What I'm not meant to run among everyone else?
What if jumping into the pool of life
Destroys my chances for bigger and better things?
I close the window.

This is short, sweet, and very meaningful. I can really relate to it--I think almost everyone can! You should really write more like this. It reminded me a little bit of Ellen Hopkins's writing style, even though she wrotes whole books with this. Good job!
