The Window, Part Two

The Window, Part Two

A Poem by Hannah
"

I share with you people my epiphany. I may be all better now.

"
And yet here the window is again
But looks not half as ominous
           I toy with the idea
           Of opening it
        Possibly revealing ugliness
              Or beauty.
             What do I fear?
                I poke my head out.
It's glorious out in that world!
Or is it too glorious for the likes of me?
Idly I let my hand out, and enjoy the breeze.
                       I glance out, it's high
But all the more room for flying.
The window morphs into a door
                                                               Which I promptly fling open
And feel the sun on my face
                                                                                     And the bracing fresh air
                                                                                     And all the potential happiness
Which I have so sorely been missing
                                                                                     For over three years now
I see it!
It's mine for the the taking!

Freedom!
