Upon Meeting Gabriel

Upon Meeting Gabriel

A Poem by Laurent Hardesty

"
As Gods are
Jealous of Mortals,
I asked Gabriel
For Me to stay
In Mortal Form.

Now All I See is Bravery
In the Wrong Place.
Much like Myself,
But Without Moral Norm.

Death to Those
Without Fear!
This has been the Rule
For a Thousand Year.

The Curses are
The Epitome
Of Loss.
You Will See the Truth,
But at a Losing Cost.
