The Pheonix, The Snake, and The Boy With Apple

The Pheonix, The Snake, and The Boy With Apple

A Poem by Laurent Hardesty

"
The Boy With Apple Ate,
And a Pheonix Arose,
Saying Truth from What He Seen,
From Seeing the Rose.

A Snake then Sang,
A Song of Sure Defeat.
And the Boy With Apple Ate,
And Once Again,
Death the Pheonix
Did Meet.

Now Alone with the Boy,
The Snake asked,
"What Taste of the Fruit?"
And the Boy Smiled,
"How Say that of You???

Many Men You Meet,
And To Their Defeat!
You Cannot Take A Bow
Because You Don't Have Any Feet!

So What is Your Challenge?
If There is No Victory?
What is Your Challenge?
If Noone Shall Win?"

And the Pheonix Arose
Again.
And Said,
"I Know Nothing Else,
But Immortality,
Through Death and Flame!
I Can Lose
A Challenge,
And Arise Again!"

And The Boy Smiled Once More,
"I Can Learn From Your Kind!
Not From the Snakes!
I Cannot Trust The Contest
Of The Song The Snake Makes!

Throughout the Land,
Let it Be Known,
The Pheonix is Noble!
For Man Shall I Be,
And Now I Know,
How Evil Preys On Mortals!"

Laurent Hardesty
Kinda want to make this a short story someday. Or fable. Seriously edited like 10x. Ok maybe 20x.
