City DancersA Poem by Jessica WeedWhen the skies are scarlet, our hearts flare into flame. We could burn the whole city down, we’re too in love to be ashamed. Stoic walls don’t hold the free of heart, we’ll dance in the street instead. A love affair with window lights, spirits flying red. They, sleeping in their beds, wish they could stand on skyscrapers too, magnificent as the skyline, beautiful as the view. It’s a new love every night, a thousand faces dance, but all one glittering soul, all one city romance. © 2014 Jessica WeedAuthor's Note
