21st Century Caveman

Yes, some of us are just this awkward. Or are you the awkward one?

I think I'm a caveman.
Actually, I'm fairly certain of it.
There are too many things that
I just can't seem to get right
In today's modern society.

 

I don't get fashion
Trends, colors, or what's in or out.
Just give me a ratty t-shirt,
Old shorts and some flip flops.
Business casual is not in my closet.

 

Social networking is overrated.
Profiles, tweets, and status updates
Have taken over actually learning someone.
How is a friend just a name on a list
Who you've never talked to begin with?

 

And come on Hollywood.
I don't need to know about your
Flings, divorces, DUI's, and shopping lists.
I don't care. Just entertain me.
Give me movies and TV shows, kapish?

 

So I should go back to a cave.
Separate myself from today's society
Just a simple life in my cave.
It's really all I need, wired with cable,
The sports package, and wi-fi of course.
