Flight 1149, DelayedA Poem by HaunzwürtheI had a stupid late flight the other night and this is what came out of my sore back.Exhaustion. It was choking my brain. Not able to sleep, Not able to wake. My consciousness firmly planted Between these two worlds. Pinging thoughts racked My mind, more numerous Than the falling flakes outside.
The terminal bench sent Its murderous metal bars Into my back. Frustration piled with the Snow as I tossed to find That spot. The pack, as my pillow, Shot aching complaints down my neck.
This was wrong. Too many problems I could not Solve. I should not be here. The people, the job, the demands, It was all too much. What was the point?
