I Remember!

This piece is about how when I had to go into emergency surgery about three years ago, because I had an ovarian cyst forming inside of me and it was the size of an volleyball. I know crazy!

I Remember

It all hurt before the surgery.

The doctor said I couldn't look, but I wanted to see.

After the surgery, I felt sore and free.

They said it was the size of a volleyball, but I didn't understand how that could be.

It was all hard to believe.

It was a lot of information to receive.

I asked if they lay me down to rest.

But all it was, was an ovarian cyst!

eegads! that is pretty wild, but it seems you survived. there are those experiences in life that shape our view of things and though traumatic we come out the better for it! i'm hoping it was that for you.

Thank you! It's an experience worth sharing! It's something I kinda think about everyday. I have a scar that reminds me of it, but I'm proud of it, because it just shows another battle that I survived! Thank you for reading and giving the review!

Yeah! LOL! But really this surgery was emergency and I didn't even know it was gonna happen, until they told me. I was scared, but happy and ready, because I was ready for the pain to stop! But it was quite a battle to fight!

I like this ^_^ It seems like an event you may never forget and I think often these are the hardest times to put into words, at least so far in my experience. I have a large amount of respect for how well you managed to get these memories into words and I hope you continue to do so :)

Thank you so much for the reading and the nice review. Yes, it's a memory I don't think I will ever forget, because one the pain was unforgettable and two just as a memory it was a big one for me. I never thought I would have to have surgery like that in my life, but I did! Yeah it left me with no ovary on my right side. Really I have nothing on my right side. I was born without one kidney on my right side and then they took out my ovary with the cyst too, so you know it was quite an experience I will never forget, if you ask me! But if it's something that's helped your writing grow it is definitely a strengthening experience. The closest I can come is I managed to knock a rib out of my right side a few years back.
