Wishes

A Poem by Andre Peterson

You must live your life and I must live mine.
Although I miss the days when our time was intertwined.
With each day passing, watching the sun set down.
I now have a home. One that I can call my own.
Not with you, my darling.
After what I have seen.
No, I have a home with no borders.
No need for a queen.
But a queen you are. And till the end of time, I'll follow.
Wasting away to nothing but words in a book.
A love encased with sorrow.
I'll say with much sadness.
I've always meant well.
I never knew such love filled with wishes.
Wishes never I never meant to tell.
