6 Letters and Too Much Meaning.

6 Letters and Too Much Meaning.

A Poem by Alicia Nicole

Gather the supplies and head for the hills

Shaking hands remove the bands
A pounding heart pumps the blood that is soon to be exposed

Its been nearly three month since you've held the sharpened steal
Its been so long since you've drawn blood by your own acquire

Cold chills arise on every inch of skin
A sudden thrill shoots down your spine

A heart breaks with the act it knows is about to be committed

Gathering all the courage you can muster
Creeping back inside your hell

Its been so long since you've met your addictions needs
Its felt like forever since you felt the force break

Sharp pain shoots through your wrist
A small drop of blood floods from the skin

You smile as you feel the sting begin
As the fair china skin brightens with life that stage dives to the floor

A few more slow lines
A couple more deep breathes
One more tear drop
One last moment to doubt yourself
Its all over now
The twisted tricks have left its mark
Now you can breathe some what easier
It feels like your blood is a little bit lighter
When its all over you finally realize what you have done and that same old regret brings its self back to the surface

It just happened to be six letters too much
