Had tried to save something!!!A Poem by Dr Sharmila ParajuliHad tried to save something, perhaps it was
“dignity” That I lost my priorities in the process of giving
honor to everyone around Had tried to save something, perhaps it was “self- respect” That I depleted my own reserves to the point of complete
emptiness Had tried to save something, perhaps it was
“intimacy” That I scarcely realize no matter how much I yearn
for it, it only encourages resentment and violence Had tried to save something, perhaps it was
“happiness” That I finally realized at this age one has to shift
focus to cultivate inner happiness and self-love Had tried to save something, perhaps it was “trust” That I gained a realistic view of people around me
because as the relationship goes further and as the mask falls off, people tend
to reveal their true nature I tried to save something, perhaps it was “balance” That I find it a constant challenge to maintain a
healthy work-life balance in today’s hectic work environment I tried to save something, perhaps it was “color” That I have started losing my own vision trying to
adjust the perceptions of different people as I age © 2025 Dr Sharmila ParajuliAuthor's Note
