Road

Road

A Poem by Mercy Fae
"

Life, love, and the feelings of loneliness

"
Walking.
Staring at the pavement below, talking.
While I really want to scream.

Shoving the memories from the open doorway.
Wishing I lived faraway, in Norway.
So I wouldn't have to see.

I find myself always tucked away in corners.
Waiting for someone I always hope to see more of.
But the pain and sorrow never escapes through my lips.

Shouting, screaming.
Crying, dreaming.
Wishing I wasn't away from you.

But I just want you to...

Save me from the open road

Imaginative and creative write at the road of reality.

Norway is fairly cold place to wished to be tucked away from. While the open road is a daunting place to be,there is no one to keep us safe there, it is also the road we must take. Taking it full steam ahead is the only way to go! Great write.

You better get you an insulated jacket if you're going to Norway. I would try the Bahamas.

I feel you in this piece, only because I have been there, can I really relate to it. You tend to write about the bad side of life, opposed to the good. It's good in a way, but I hope to see some up beat pieces in the future. :)
