What Was This Thing?

Something was running...

Something is running,
Away from me,
It's runnig quickly,
What could it be?

 

It dashes past,
It dodges under,
What is this thing,
I do wonder.

 

I think it's gone now,
For I can't see it,
Nor can I feel,
It's presence.

 

What was this thing,
That ran and ran?

 

What was this thing,
That continued on?

 

What was this thing,

That would not stop?

 

What was this thing?
