'America Unchained'
A Poem by brian
Greatness is in the eyes of the Beholder.
A broken down Love AffairIs there still hope in the air?I need care, not a kick in the boneWhen the story's over, will we have a home? It's on the mend, nothing new, like the emotions in you I counted 45 times where we could've turned back I now view it as an honor and not some kind of attack Out in the river lies a boat Beginning to sink All the reasons that we gave.. We didn't even notice the hole A piece of wood marks the memories In a watery grave Like America, we used to soar.. Now we barely float

Such an honest assessment of the state of our country, brother. It may not be the popular perspective to take, but that doesn't make it the wrong one.
"I counted 45 times where we could've turned back
I now view it as an honor and not some kind of attack"
Those lines stung to read, because they're so truthful. A fine piece of writing, man. Blessings.
