Jester of Love

Jester of Love

A Poem by HollisAnn Harrison
"

Inspired by a photo seen on FaceBook.

"
Your eyes, they hide
The depth of what is deep inside
Your lips, so red
I remember what you said

Your face, so pale
From a time long passed, a love gone stale
I wish I knew
Where you've gone and why it's you
I love

Jester of Love, My World, My Tower
I give you my whole, my soul, my power
And ev'ry hope of rising again
Falls once more, my time is spent

Tears upon a photograph
This will be your epitaph
"I was your first, but you were my True
Why could I not find my life with you?"

Jester of Love, My World, My Tower
Chamomile mixed with vanilla flower
Ev'ry sight of joy and peace
I find myself ill at ease

I gave you my fall
Aware of it all
And now that I see
All I find is me

Your face, so pale
From a time long passed, a love gone stale...
