Brokenhearted Dreams

Brokenhearted Dreams

A Poem by Holly O'Brien
"

I wrote this poem about a friend who could not seem to get over a past lover. However, I later on discovered that my friend was a bit mental.

"
She's caught up in a dream
Caught up in the love life she never forgets
With her simple little lovers
If only she would stand still
and face the mill of time
Her soul's creator,
is slow to make her satisfied
Be still
The girl with the broken heart
On her knees
begging for redemption
begging for a peace of mind
No doctor can mend her case
No preacher can fix her wounds
Just space-less in her chest
Something heavy just lives there
Fat with the vile of lies and deceit
But be still brokenhearted girl
This dream will soon be over
It is only just a nightmare
