Pointless Love

Pointless Love

A Poem by Holly O'Brien

Sweet names of September
To burn in November
Those sweet names
Dangling ageless days
They place in my hand a song
Crying out for mercy
There is no painful left
Only dryness, coaxing loneliness
Dense words that are only heard in the open
Picking at my neck, gnawing at my thighs
Don’t let me down love…
Don’t let me down innocence…
Keep it still, and still it moves
For me
For all the less to see
Pointless!

No lol…
No love can end up in pointlessness…
Believe in love…
Loved the poem very much…
My favorite line…
They place in my hand a song crying out for mercy…..
