I Know My Love

This was a repetition poem I wrote awhile back, probably about a year ago. Something I was kind of going through back then.

I know my love…
that I cannot be true to you.

I know my love…
That you might not love me too.

I know my love…
That I cannot confess to you.

I know my love…
That  my love for you is true.

But why my love?
Can I not speak my words to you?

But why my love?
Can I not make my love be known?

I’m sorry my love…
That I cannot be beside you.

I’m sorry my love…
That I must stand behind you.

But for you my love…
I shall stand with you always.

But for you my love…
I will be there to catch you if you fall.

So for you my love…
I shall be your guardian.

So for you my love…
I shall be there for you always.
