The Chosen Children

Young twins learn about their calling.

The children crept silently through the forest. They didn’t know why they were here or where they were going. All they knew was some invisible force was pulling them somewhere into the deep, dark forest. They trudged on for hours, creeping quietly through the forest. Suddenly, the noise of loud breathing filled the forest. The children stopped, scared for the first time in their long trek. Then, realizing it was just themselves, they continued. Minutes later, they reached a glittering clearing. Gorgeous blue water ran down a sparkling quartz waterfall. Trees drooped with perfectly ripe fruit. A man appeared out of nowhere. “You probably wonder why I have called you here.” He said. “You are the chosen ones.”
