THE NEW WRITERS CAFE HALL OF FAME

Trophy awarded to winners of the competitive events at Connecticut State Jewish Youth Conference, February 26, 1947

Whether it's sports, entertainment, or the arts; a recipient of any hall of fame must possess talent, skill, and commitment to their craft. The following list is a personal, unbiased record of poets and storytellers who deserve recognition for outstanding contributions to Writers Cafe. You may not see a writer you think deserves recognition; my apologies go out to those who I've missed.

There are good writers here but reviews are not as easy to come by as they once were. Also, people leave and you don't know if they're coming back. Sometimes they change their name.

The many names here are in no particular order.

Thank you Ritchie. :)
TOO FUNNY! "writers here because they love writing and don't need to be recognized" (insert name here) actually made me laugh out loud. I'm supposed to be working! ;)

Thanks very much. :)
This is interesting. I've read almost all the writers on the worth reading list and I agree (not saying because I'm on it too lol 😂 though I would have loved to add Tony's name there but I can see why you didn't and it's okay 😉)
But I kinda disagree on JayG being the best reviewer... Given my opinion, I'd have said William Liston to be the best critic here but of course it's your list ;)

Enjoyed reading this. :)

Dude.....much time has passed since this was done......and times have changed. New poets have emerged. Surely you can update the thing entirely (many of those names don't look like they're one anymore), and I've got a few names for the Diva section.

(maybe you could make it democratic somehow?)

Yup, you got it. :)
Fiction writing is really where my heart is, and in keeping with that feeling I would like to mention / suggest two friends of mine and two talented fiction authors I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. They both have a wonderful natural sense of rhythym, (yes, fiction should have a rhythym).. and their names are:

Robert J Waguespack

Takeshi Yamada

Two writer's very much worth reading. ;)

Not sure if this is a revised version or not... It reads like a memory. So many are no longer singing their song here. It is fun to drop in and read familar names however.
Good to see your post again today.

Thanks for including me in the POETS WORTH READING list. I'm even more pleased to see David Lewis Paget as a recipient of your HALL OF FAME AWARD. He is, in my opinion, the most talented writer here!
