I think this is awesome. I've had my share of nights talking to paper with little to say. Rambling takes on an art of its own though useless really haha. It's still healing in its own way. I'd suggest you hold onto the ones that seem empty. Sometimes looking back they speak louder than yourealized

You could be right about that. Thanks for taking the time to read this. You know it's appreciated.
This was a brilliant piece, every writer can relate to at some point.
We all get writers block for different reasons.
Mine being that I have wrote about almost everything there is to write about, and I haven't found an inspiring next topic.
Though how ever you get it, writers block well and truly sucks, you want to write so bad, but you can't.
This was not only a true, honest, relatable piece, but it was a great piece, the rhyming was flawless to.
Great work :)
well from the response, you have plenty of company. do you ever wonder where the words, thought, profundity goes? do we really become stoooooopid from one minute to the next? i know that trying to force it, fake it really is an exercise in stupidity and the results deserve a swift death without witnesses. i figure that when the level of significance [pain] reaches critical mass, the lock on that stubborn, slippery door might quietly click ...
Relic, I like this. I especially like the image of your muse in a coma-like sleep. Sometimes it's like that. I can't write about just anything. KL can throw something together in a hot second. It takes me a long time to mull over something until I can put something worthy onto paper. I hope your writers block breaks soon, and you can entertain us again.

I never try to write. I have to write. When I don't have to it's a relief. Sometimes I don't write for years and years but, so far, it always comes back. You do describe this very well. I feel your bleak emptiness. I hope it goes away soon.
Writer's block sucks. The fact that it happens to all of us is little comfort to you now. All I can do is wish you good luck, Relic. Meanwhile, as one writer on WC said (I can't recall who), "If you have writer's block, write about it." Which you did, above. I may only be 8 lines but it speaks volumes about the problem. take care...dan
