The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

A Poem by Relic

They flee and fly like jostling birds -
or gray moths 'round a light.
They pirouette in lazy rings -
while frolicking in flight.

Like gypsies, leaves will soon depart
with tender thoughts for wind
Soon to sweep and persevere -
in lives undisciplined.

Some will scurry in their haste
to pester pine trees praying.
Then, they'll sit, for just a bit -
In fields where I was laying.

And some particular time not within our full knowing, that is all that is needed, that brilliant moment "for just a bit" to sit by us companionably and off again like the seasons. TFS.

Thanks very much for the comment, Cor.empire. :)
Well worth coming back for a second read Tim. Autumn thankfully a long way off. Our trees are just starting to blossom. I love the colours of autumn, but spring is definitely my thing. The season of rebirth. All good wishes to you, keep safe and well. Second vaccines for us tomorrow.

That might be the first poem I read about nature's underrated gems. I absolutely love it.

Thanks very much, Cowboy.
We read many poems about falling leaves (funny I was just writing this word into a new poem) but never we read "till now" anyone who calls them gypsies! what an amazing metaphor, all your verses are stunning, but for me the last one is outstanding, gorgeous.

I appreciate your comment, Light, thank you. :)
A stunning picture here! Gorgeously coloured and your descriptions are most astute. Gypsy leaves....such a nice metaphor, that one. Autumn is my favourite season, so i do appreciate your theme in this poem. A lovely piece of writing. 🌹

Thanks so much for your comment and visit, Viktoria. Autumn has always been my favorite season. :)
Your poem really captures the wind-tossed chaos of clouds of swirling, autumn leaves. One can almost feel the motion. Good job.

Yeah, I love Autumn. Thanks so much, Inessa. :-)
A beautiful picture , Relic, both in the illustration, as well as the words. Some remain, to provide a source of new birth as they mature. Others will drift and be lost as they travel.
