The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

A Poem by Relic

Image result for Autumn Screensavers

They flee and fly like jostling birds -
or gray moths 'round a light.
They pirouette in lazy rings -
while frolicking in flight.

Like gypsies, leaves will soon depart
with tender thoughts for wind
Soon to sweep and persevere -
in lives undisciplined.

Some will scurry in their haste
to pester pine trees praying.
Then, they'll sit, for just a bit -
In fields where I was laying.

I read this out loud, and how beautiful it sounds rolling off the tongue! As soon as I read the first verse I realized that I was hooked and falling in love. That experience did not leave me until the end.

You're so kind, thanks, Kimmie.
dear Relic... since I am truly a Gypsy... I found your
poem fascinating. I love "to pester praying pines".
We gypsies do persevere, however we can be a bit
undisciplined. My father's heritage is Hungarian...
They came here via The Statue of Liberty.

Wow...thanks very much for the review, Patricia.
This is a great way to show the dynamic life of falling leaves! I was very taken in by your dynamic descriptions with a touch of personification, as if the leaves (as a whole) have a personality you're painting here. There's also a hint of allegory, as far as some people possibly being like these leaves, only gracing one's field for a brief season of time (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I appreciate the reviews, thanks.
There's never a time too late or too early to write about glorious autumn. The thought of them falling on where I lie is delightful.
