The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

The gypsy-like leaves (rhyme poem)

A Poem by Relic

Image result for Autumn Screensavers

They flee and fly like jostling birds -
or gray moths 'round a light.
They pirouette in lazy rings -
while frolicking in flight.

Like gypsies, leaves will soon depart
with tender thoughts for wind
Soon to sweep and persevere -
in lives undisciplined.

Some will scurry in their haste
to pester pine trees praying.
Then, they'll sit, for just a bit -
In fields where I was laying.

'The gypsy-like leaves'
Relic,
Oh this was mesmerizing. I allowed my imagination to run with the wind and the amber leaves of Autumn. This was fun to read as it allows the reader to see how you feel and enter into your surroundings. I like that.

Thank you, Ken.
Gosh, Tim! 🍂
Even if the poem were not brilliantly, beautifully, soul-fetchingly rendered, that picture would have made the trip here well worth the effort, and what a thought-provoking, adventurously spirited title … I love it!
And, what could be more magically image-laden than:

"They flee and fly like jostling birds -
or gray moths 'round a light.
To pirouette in lazy rings -
while frolicking in flight."

One of my faves, My Friend … immensely enjoyed penmanship in spot-on rhymes and easy flow.
Thank you for the morning treat! ⁓ Richard 🍃

Thank you, Susan.
“Leaves -like gypsies - ..slip away”- superb vision and simile Relic. The “flee and fly” flow of your graceful verses take us on an autumnal odyssey of wandering , pirouetting leaves in all their blazing majesty. Your cadence and rhyme make them dance in front of our appreciative eyes. Thank you for this lovely journey my friend.

I love this very carefree
and free spirited feel to

Leaves - like gypsies -
slip away
with a fondness for the wind.
Soon to sweep and persevere -
in lives undisciplined.

This is beautiful, I can relate to the fondness for the wind and being swept away undisciplined. Really lovely.

What a beautiful image to accompany your poem. Your words conjur up for me breezy Autumn days and swirls of crispy leaves. Lovely.

Thanks very much for your thoughtful review, Amber.
Lovely depiction of something we rarely value as spent leaves meander chaotically and randomly across the land to wedge neath hedge and 'tween pots where on the ground they rot!
